Apple Pie Time!

On thursday Afternoon I went over to a friends house so she could teach me to make apple pie. I love to cook meals but need to improve my skills on baking! My friends name is Sara lee, I think its funny that her name is Sara lee and she loves to bake. Anyway, when I told my mom that Sara lee was going to teach me to make apple pie, she was like "youre gonna buy a frozen pie?":) Sara lee is a mother of four and her kids are so cute especially Daniel he's four( he loves to sneak into the pie dough!) I had a fun time and the pie turned out great! Kevin would agree!

Lunch with Holly

Today I went out to Lunch with an old friend from Highschool. Her name is Holly and she was one of my best friends. I moved away right after my sophmore year of highschool. We stayed in touch until we both graduated then slowly lost touch with each other. It was great to see how her life has been going. I cant believe I hadnt seen her in like 5 years! She is now married and has two adorable little boys. I married my prince charming last year and hope to have a baby next year sometime.
Holly and I had some fun times back in school so many memories. Some things I can never forget are when we use to go TP random houses late at night, me getting pulled over in her car in front of MY house, trips to boise in her car, me almost running into trashcans, being called hershey squirts, and my family would call her hollybird, and the list goes on. Im happy that we reconnected and hope to stay in touch with her. Here are some pictures of way back in the day and one from our lunch today!

Our Love Story

~Potato BOY MEETS Colorado GIRL~
It was June 2006 and I decided the month before to take a vacation to see my family in Idaho. Little did I know what was in store for me there.
So I got to Idaho on a friday night. That saturday my Aunt Tami and Uncle Rod wanted me to go to their church with them to "drop something off". What they really meant was introduce me to Kevin. So we made it to the church. I had no clue what was going on and all the sudden I see my uncle coming around the corner with this scruffy looking, kinda cute looking guy. Kevin came up to me and shook my hand I could tell he was so nervous. The next day I went to church saw Kevin for like a second and that was it.
~THE SET UP~
My Uncle and Aunt invited him over for a BBQ on tuesday night. I was a little freaked out. Kevin was nervous again, he kept moving around in his chair. He asked me tons of questions and I tried to do the same, but I'm a little shy at first. I would rate that night as okay. Wednesday he found me on myspace invited me to go to applebees with a group of his friends, so I went.
I would have to say it was the worst night I had in a while. There was a girl who really liked Kevin and her sister made sure that Kevin didn't sit next to me the whole time or even drive me home. It was a disaster!
I flew back to Colorado thinking oh well. Kevin emailed me that night apologizing for the applebees night and saying how he wished we could of spent more time together. So we emailed or myspaced each other for a couple months.




~THE ROAD TRIP~
I took a road trip at the end of July with my brother Chad. We of course came to Idaho. By now I had been texting a calling Kevin a few times. This is how it went
--Saturday night I went with Kevin to see his friend Dustin. After getting lost for like an hour we made it to our destination. Went to Red Robin then later out to coffee at One More Cup.
--Sunday we hung out at the church BBQ and then went to El ta Nampa because we didn't eat at the BBQ.
--Monday I went over to his families house and played Apples to Apples (this is the night that Kevin said he started to think "hey I really like this girl"
--Tuesday night we went on a double date with John and Chandra to Hong Kong and then went to play miniature golf. Later that night Kevin asked me to be his girl:) You could not wipe the smile off of my face!
We went on a date every night the rest of the week and even had our first kiss! Until I had to say goodbye for a little bit.
Long Wait~
We Dated long distance for about 5 months flying back and forth to see each other. Talking on the phone for 2 hours every night. Then we decided I should move to Idaho.







TOGETHER~
On December 16th 2006 I packed my car as full as a car should be packed and headed to Idaho with my mom. It was a crazy trip, we hit a blizzard in Wyoming and almost hit a deer in twin falls. But after a 22 hour drive which should of only been 16 hours we made it to our destination. It took me forever to get a job in Idaho. I started to feel depressed about that whole thing but kept my faith. I knew that God had brought Kevin and I together. Plus I missed my family like crazy!
POP THE QUESTION~
On May 18th 2007 after 9 months of dating. Kevin took me to TGIF for dinner. It was a double date with his brother and girlfriend. We went to the mall and took goofy pictures in one of those photo booths. When we got back to Kevins house he said "do you want to play a game?" I was like okay? So it was a scavenger hunt. Very creative! and it ended up taking me to the place where we first met....the church parking lot!
That's when I knew...He got down on his knee and said so many amazing things we both started to cry. Later that night we went to his families house to show off the bling and his mom took pictures... everyone was so excited.
We got married 3 months later on August 25th! I am truly blessed to have such an amazing man in my life.

Who eats more? He does! When we were first married I ate some of the same things he would and now I'm paying for it(all my clothes are tight!)

We both sing, Ive recorded backup for my friends CD though! haha!

We balance each other out. Kevin is sometimes nerdy he's very good at math and I have no clue about it. Then when it comes to the creative planning he lets me handle it.

Lets just say Kevin hasn't had to do laundry since last Aug! I'm one of those sick people who actually enjoys doing laundry!

I wash them, he puts them away

I do.

Kevin does all of that, I just have to remember to save my receipts!

Who cooks dinner? I do. I really enjoy it! On the days where I have been sick, Kevin will make frozen pizza, soup, or cereal:)

We both do. We are sharing one car now and its my baby so I do a lot of the driving.

Beginner Blogger

Hello, my name is Ammie. In my spare time when I'm not working(Saturday is usually my only day off) I love to be with Family and Friends, I love to cook, I love to dance, and I love the color pink.

Things that interest me are: traveling, laughing, making others laugh, photography, dance, shopping,Coloring in color books, scrapbooking, trying new recipes, trying to invent new lattes or mocha's at my work, party planning(wishing someday that it could be my job), camping, movies, baby-sitting my nieces and nephew, American Idol, going on walks, The Office, going out with my husband.

My idea of heaven is: Being around the people I love, having a clean kitchen(Its a very hard thing to accomplish since we don't have a dishwasher), starting a family, and of course a very important thing is being able to have a quiet time in the morning, and another important thing that I love so much is spending time with my husband.

I love the smell in the air right after it begins to rain. I love Lilly's, so much so that I just might name a daughter after them.

I love the smell of clean laundry right after it comes out of the dryer(downy freshness)

Pet peeves include gossip, people that cant drive, and those who don't follow through with what they say they're going to do. Oh and people that lie need help.

The person I admire most in my life is my Mom! She is so strong! She has been through so much. I'm thankful to have a mom who prays for me everyday. She is truly amazing!

I cry when I think about my dad and I try to remember all the good times we had together. One thing I would like to change about myself is: to realize that I'm beautiful and not let the thoughts that I'm not consume me. My wisdom is to never forget the good moments in life they will help you get through the crappy moments. Life goes by fast cherish your families. Something I like about myself is: I love to cook and I'm actually good at it. One thing I regret is: Loosing touch with old friends and not spending enough time with my dad while he was on earth.
