Tuesday Tell All, My Graduation 2001

Like everyone else's blogs about this, I cant believe its been 7 years! The time has flown by.
I Graduated from Mesa Ridge High School in Colorado Springs. High school was a good and bad experience for me.
In 1999 I moved from Emmett Idaho to Colorado Springs, I hated leaving in the middle of high school and having to make new friends. I never really fit in at Mesa Ridge. I stayed in contact with Holly from Idaho and even went to Emmett's graduation.

Since I graduated lots of changes have happened to my life. I decided to go to work when I got out of High School as an assistant caterer. It was a fun job. Then I decide to attend YWAM, its a three month school and then you go to another country for a month and help out in orphanages and churches. It was a life changing experience so I decided to go back to YWAM and attend another school. In between schools my dad past away. That was one of the hardest things to go through. I know that if I wasn't in ywam with all of those people supporting me, I would not be where I am today. Then I moved back and got my catering job back for a few years.
in 2006 I met the man of my dreams, a year later we married and now we are looking into buying a house. I could of never imagined all the amazing things God has blessed me with.

Memorial Day!

On Monday I had to open at my work, it was not fun! No one came in because unlike me most people had the day off! I'm not bitter at all! Anyway I got to go home early because it was so slow, so that was a blessing.

Then it was off to make the rounds going to the many bbq's we were invited to.

First we went over to Kevin's work BBQ, it was a lot of fun! Every couple got a gift card to Bed Bath and Beyond and Home depot! Can't wait to go shopping.









Then we headed to my Grandparents house but could only fit dessert in our bellies. We stayed there for a couple hours, played games and then went home.




After only an hour of rest we headed with Kevin's Family to go put flowers Susan Ann's grave. Susan Ann is Kevin's Sister who was born still birth. The time we spent at the grave yard made me sad because I usually go with my family to visit my Dad's grave on Memorial day. After that I was a little emotional but we still went to the final BBQ at Kevin's Aunt and Uncles.

Double Date Night!

Friday night we went on a double date with our close friends Joel and and Becca.
First we went to Red Robin to eat, that was the second time I had been there this week!


Then it was off to the movies! Indiana Jones, Kevin and Joel were very excited they kept singing the theme song during the movie! The movie, well......Kevin and Joel really liked it! I thought it was a little strange and so did Becca. We weren't sure what to think of it.


It was a very fun night. I think Kevin and I need to do that more often.

David Cook has been my favorite Idol since day one! I usually don't get into American Idol that much, but I had to support the rocker!

Happy Birthday Judy!

Today is my mother-in-laws birthday! So she asked me and her daughter Michelle to go to Boise with her and go shopping. It was fun! A funny thing happened on the way there...... we had to make a stop at my Uncles car lot to have him fill up something so that the air would work in the car. So he fixed it and we were off to go shop! We get a call a few minutes later and it was Kevin telling us that Rod didn't hook the hood of the car, next thing we knew we were headed on the on ramp full speed ahead and the hood started to lift up a little. It was a scary moment almost like from the movie Tommy Boy! We pulled over and I got out and hooked the hood, while I was doing that the grill popped off the car! Not to mention I got this black sticky stuff all over my hands, it was nasty.
Finally we made it to our destination. We had a great time doing what girls love to do best. After shopping we went to Red Robin where I made sure to tell the waitress it was Judy's birthday! Judy was a little embarrassed when they came to sing to her. I got some great pictures to show the good times we had. The three Amiga's (birthday girl, Richard, and Muffin girl:)

A little late.....but heres last weekends review

Last friday night I went on a date with my hubby! We went to Applebees and then watched a movie at our house. It was so nice to finally have a night to relax and not have to be somewhere.

Saturday, I went shopping for Kevin's mom for mothers day! I bought her a hanging flower plant, she loves flowers.
Then Kevin and I attended a birthday party for a little girl who turned 2! Her name is Danika and she has a Huge crush on Kevin. It was fun to hang out with the moms while Kevin entertained the kids outside on the swings.







Sunday after church we went over to Kevin's parents house had a Mothers day lunch, and hung out for a while.

This week has been So busy as you can tell Im just now having time to blog.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo!

In honor of Cinco de Mayo go enjoy a mexican mocha. You can get one at any coffee shop. Basically its Mocha with cinnamon, very yummy! I made a whole bunch for people at work today. Since the weather is so nice you can have it iced too!




If coffee's not your thing go to a mexican restaurant and enjoy my favorite foods! Everyone who knows me really well knows that I can live off of Chips and Salsa:).

~Weekend in Review~

Wow....I cant believe its already monday! So this past weekend was so busy I feel like I didn't rest at all. Friday night we went over to my friend Allison's in-laws to celebrate her 25th bday. It was fun! We had a bbq and I got to hold my friend Heather's new little baby Grace:).




Saturday, we went out for brunch with some pretty cool people Ryan and Jennifer. They are going to be our worship pastors at our church. So exciting! Then it was off to the ladies tea that our church has around mothers day every year. It was a very long event, but it was fun I was a hostess at one of the tables so I got to serve the tea.



Saturday night Kevin and I had to do what we always do and that is set up for Kids church. Didnt go to bed till midnight, you may think thats crazy but thats the norm for Kevin and I on a Saturday night. There is a lot of work that goes in for Sunday. We want the very best for the Kids at CFC!

Sunday was church... all three services! We had over 265 kids come through our church yesterday! Then Sunday night the church staff had a bbq get together to celebrate and welcome the new worship pastors. Most weekends are busy for me but that's what makes life exciting!

Since mothers day is rolling around soon, I thought why not write a little something about one of the people I admire most. My Mom!
Her name is Debbie, she is a mother of three and a grandmother of three. I hope to bump up the number of grandkids soon!
What I love most about my mom is I know that she is always there for me no matter what. She is one of my best friends. She is also a very strong woman of God. We are a close family, we've been through so much together and its made us stronger as a family. I love knowing that I always have someone praying for me.
Now that I'm an adult I realize I'm a lot like her in so many ways. From some of my actions to how I talk. I'm proud of my mom, she has a passion for missions and never lets things get in the way of that. This year she is going to Africa. I do wish that I could see her more often. She lives in Colorado about 16 hours away from me:(.
She always reminds me of these two things...... that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and being Happy is a choice that we just have to make. I hope to take what Ive learned from her and be a great mom someday too!
